Planning Applications on Weekly List – 11th January, 2006

DEB

The following planning applications were considered:

BO/06/00029/FUL – Creek House Shore Road – Erection of boar/garden

vehicle store and change of use of paddock to garden. No

objection, subject to any approval requiring boat/garden

vehicle store to be ancillary to main dwelling.

BO/06/00088/FUL – Chichester Bedding Centre Kidoreel House Delling Lane –

Two storey extension to existing bedding centre. We have

no objection in principle to the proposed extension, but we

are concerned that the box profile sheeting to be used in

construction is not sympathetic with the existing building,

which is situated within the AONB.

Other planning matters

14.1

Planning Appeal – Combes Boatyard (BO/04/04302/REM)

DEB

The Acting Chairman and Members received notification from Dr. Peter Cameron that he and other interested parties had not been notified last November that the Planning Inspector is to conduct a hearing of a planning appeal in respect of Combes Boatyard later this year and hence the opportunity had been lost by all concerned to enhance any further objections they might wish to make to the planning application. The Clerk is to write to the District Planning Officer, pointing out that, like Dr. Cameron, the Parish Council did not receive notice of the planning appeal in this case and to seek assurance that we are on the list of persons who will receive a copy of the Hearing letter in due course. A right and proper course to follow would seem to be that the appeal process should be started again from the beginning and all interested parties notified with an opportunity to respond within the permitted period.

14.2

Area Development Control Committee (South) – 1st February, 2006

The Clerk reported that two planning applications in respect of the Manor House Bosham Lane and the application in respect of Chidham View Brook Avenue came before the Area Development Control Committee (South) earlier today. Although the Parish Council had objected to these applications, we were not represented at the meeting on this occasion. The Clerk did not know the outcome of the Committee’s deliberations. NOTED.

14.3

Local Development Framework

DEB

The Clerk informed members of two future meetings to be held at the District Council offices on Tuesday, 16th May, 2006 and Thursday, 25th January, 2007 on the Local Development Framework Delivering Development Opportunities document and it was agreed that attendance at these meetings should be discussed on return of the Chairman.
