Welcome to Bosham
A
Message from the Chairman of Bosham Parish Council – Mrs Patsy West
Your Parish Council, as you may be aware, represents the most local tier of government, and in this village it is non political. Elections are held every four years. It is supported financially by a precept levied on all Council Tax payers. The Parish employs three part time staff comprising a clerk, litter warden and water bailiff. In addition the precept enables us to maintain the recreation ground and to support various village amenities.
We are statutory consultees on local planning matters and influence the District and County Council and other bodies when necessary and where possible.
Meetings of the Parish Council are held regularly, normally in the village hall, and advertised on notice boards around the village. The public are invited to attend and are given the opportunity to address the Council on matters of concern.
If you have any problems the Council can be contacted through the Parish Clerk or any councillor, who will do their best to help you. The details of current councillors can be found on this website or from the Clerk.
